Not only are coffee shops the perfect setting for a first date; but also they’re great for meeting new people to take on dates. Unlike the bar scene, your local coffee shop is less pretentious, and offers a more casual relaxed atmosphere for meeting women. And hey, you already have something in common: You both like coffee! That’s always a great conversation starter. Here’s how to get the ladies at your local java spot:
Location is Key
Hot girls are everywhere. Make sure you’re going to coffee shop that is usually busy every day of the week. Bring your laptop, arrive early, grab a table and offer to share it if you see girls walking by, looking for a place to sit. Or vice versa, grab a coffee and ask a cute girl if you can share her table. Strike up a conversation and take it from there.
Be interesting
Conversation starters will help you. This means you need to bring an interesting book, or be working on something unique. Wear a scarf you bought when travelled South East Asia, or make your laptop screen backdrop a picture of you doing something your proud of. Anything and everything to start a conversation will help you. The best phrases to open with are “What are you working on?” or “What are you reading?”
Watch out for signals
If you invite yourself to sit at her table, then she’s either thinking one of these two things: A) “Ugh, this guy is totally trying to hit on me” or B) “He’s kinda cute”. You’re hoping she’s thinking the latter, and you really have to pay attention to her responses to get the hint. If you ask her what she’s working on, and she says, “Just a paper for school”, then you can prompt further and ask what it’s about, if she replies again with a short answer then you might want to stop talking to her. She’s not interested. But if she’s friendly, keep going until she drops the hint that you need to leave.
