You usually give your wedding party a gift in the days leading up to your wedding. You can do this in private or at the rehearsal dinner. It is just a way to show your appreciation for being a part of your big day.  They will appreciate whatever you give them and just be glad that you appreciate them being there.

With bridesmaids as a rule, jewelry is a good idea for the ladies. If they have pierced ears, you can give them earrings. If their ears aren’t pierced, you can give them necklaces. Bracelets and other types of jewelry are always a big hit too. You can give them something you made them which is special, and maybe even something that is special to your friend ship. It’s always a good idea to give them something that they can wear on the day of the wedding to go with their dresses. As long as it is from the heart it will be beautiful to them. Spending time with your bridesmaids leading up to the big day is important, because tensions can run high.

For the men, it’s a little more difficult to choose an appropriate gift. If you can’t find something that will be appropriate for all of them, you can choose comparable but different gifts. Beer steins, shot glasses, flasks, small pocket knives, any of which can be inscribed are all good choices. Remember, when you are choosing your gifts that these are your friends and family, and that you want them to know that you have appreciated everything that they have done. The groom usually picks out the men’s gifts and the bride does the women’s, but it doesn’t have to be done that way. You can always pick out the gifts together and give them all to the party from both of you.
