So you’re out having fun one night and meet an attractive guy who’s smart, funny, and intelligent. You talk for a bit, and you get the feeling that there might be some chemistry. The night goes on and you two decided to go your separate ways. He asks for your number, and the next day comes around. He doesn’t call. You think to yourself, “He’s just playing it cool.”

Some men thrive on seeing how many numbers they can take in a night. They will flirt with various women, and gather a series of numbers to later compare their options. He was just being polite. You were talking and he sensed that perhaps you were really into him, and he didn’t want to seem rude by ending the conversation on a bad note. Instead, he decided to take your number as a way of exiting the conversation politely and moving forward.
Scenario 3:
He forgot or too much had passed before he remembered. Let’s face it ,we often meet people in social situations where we consuming a mind-altering substance of some sort, it’s usually alcohol. You have no idea where the rest of the night took your guy, and he might’ve woken up with no recollection of ever taking down your number.
