According to Christian Rudder, a Harvard graduate and the co-founder of OKCupid, beer drinkers are more likely to have sex on the first date. In fact, they have 60 per cent higher chance of doing the dirty than someone who doesn’t drink beer.

The research was compiled as part of a survey where Rudder analyzed millions of online dating profiles and interactions, and concluded that beer was the best indicator of favorable attitudes towards casual sex.

Now, whether this research is an indication of the fact that people who like to drink are more open to hooking up no strings attached, we can’t say. Drinkers or socialites generally tend to be more liberal when it comes to sex because the bar is pretty much the most accepted place in the world meet people. But with that said, it is interesting that beer is the drink of choice for the casual sex enthusiasts – Probably because beer drinking is tied to chilling out, and having an easy-going personality.

Either way, beer is great and this is just another good reason to appreciate that magical hop juice of the gods.
